THE FIRM

An independent

advisory house built

for decisions that

shape what follows.

E. Cartier & Co advises organisations, leaders and private

clients at moments where direction, capital, ownership,

leadership, access and trust intersect.

We bring senior judgement, specialist depth and controlled

execution into one accountable relationship.

THE INSTITUTIONAL DEFINITION

Built around the mandate, not the departmental chart.

Consequential objectives rarely fit within one conventional discipline. E. Cartier & Co is structured to

bring the necessary judgement together around the decision, while preserving one lead relationship,

one standard of accountability and one definition of success.

Independent

in judgement

Our advice is governed by the client

objective, the available evidence and

the commercial realities surrounding

the decisions.

Senior led

by design

Responsibility remains close to

experienced leadership from initial

diagnosis through execution and

outcome.

Integrated

around the result

Specialist disciplines contribute

to one mandate rather than

producing separate

recommendations for the client

to reconcile.

WHY THE FIRM EXISTS

Our Purpose

To improve the quality of

consequential decisions and

increase the likelihood that

they become measurable

outcomes.

We exist because organisations and individuals are

often surrounded by advice yet remain without one

coherent route from objective to execution.

Our Ambition

To built the most trusted

independent advisory house for

complex commercial, ownership,

leadership and private decisions.

Trust will be earned through the quality of our judgement,

the standard of our work, the discretion of our conduct

and the outcomes achieved through our mandates.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The objective

precedes the service

We begin with what must

be achieved, not with the

capability we would

prefer to engage.

Consequence

require senior

judgement

The greater the commercial,

institutional or personal

consequence, the closer

experienced judgement

must remain to the work.

Advice must survive

contact with

execution

A recommendation has

limited value unless the

organisation can decide,

mobilise and act upon it.

Trust is part of

enterprise value

Reputation, confidence

and institutional credibility

affect access, transaction

certainty, commercial

relationships and the ability

to move.

Independence is

a discipline

Independent judgement

requires the willingness

to challenge assumptions,

reject unnecessary activity

and state when the

available evidence does

not support a decision.

DISCRETION. JUDGEMENT. IMPACT.

OUR FIRM MODEL

A senior core. Curated specialist depth. One standard.

E. Cartier & Co is being built as a focused advisory institution rather than a volume professional

services organisation. The core firm owns the client relationship, mandate architecture and

quality of the outcome. Additional expertise is introduced only where it materially strengthens.

Senior

Core

A focused relationship

group remains

accountable for

diagnosis, judgement,

client counsel and

mandate control.

Curated

Specialists

Sector, functional,

jurisdictional and

technical expertise

is assembled according

to the requirements

of the mandate.

Shared

intellectual capital

The firm's methods,

frameworks, evidence

standards and operating

tools create consistency

without reducing complex

situations to generic templates.

One quality

standard

Every person contributing

to the mandate works

within the same

commercial objective,

confidentiality standard

and accountability

structure.

The client should never have to integrate the advisors.

Elijah Cartier

FOUNDER & MANAGING PARTNER

image.png

I did not establish E. Cartier & Co

to become another voice around

the table. I established it to bring

clarity, authority and accountability

to the decisions that determine

what follows.

Elijah Cartier founded E. Cartier & Co around a conviction that has shaped every part of the firm: consequential objectives should never be weakened by fragmented advice, diluted ownership or activity that cannot be connected to a result.

Most advisory businesses are organised around the services they sell. E. Cartier & Co is being built around what the client must achieve.

That distinction determines how the firm operates. The objective is defined before the mandate. The principal constraint is exposed before activity begins. Specialist judgement is assembled around the decision, not around internal departments. Evidence, authority, access and execution remain connected until the intended commercial outcome is either realised or the facts require a different course.

Elijah remains personally accountable for the strategic direction of the firm, the mandate is accepts, the standard of its advice and the integrity of every client relationship. His role is not simply to originate work or represent the brand. It is to ensure that the firm asks the questions others avoid, bring the right judgement into the room and remains answerable for the coherence of the mandate.

A DIFFERENT INSTITUTIONAL AMBITION

E. Cartier & Co is not being developed as a volume professional services organisation. The ambition is to build a focused, independent advisory house trusted by organisations, boards, founders, investors and private clients when the consequences of a decision extend beyond a single transaction, strategy, document, or reporting period.

Its growth will be measured not simply by headcount or office count, but by the quality of its mandates, the calibre of the people entrusted with them, the strength of its intellectual capital and the depth of the relationships it earns.

The firm is designed to compound.

Every mandate should strengthen its judgement. Every specialist relationship should extend its capability. Every method should improve the consistency of future work. Every successful client relationship should deepen the institutional rather than disappear when the engagement ends.

This creates a model capable of becoming more valuable without becoming less personal, more capable without becoming more bureaucratic, and more internationally relevant without relying on unsupported claims of scale.

INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Building the people, intellectual property, governance and relationships required for the firm to endure.

The objective is not to appear established. It is to become indispensable.

GOVERNANCE & PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

Trust is governed, not implied.

The quality of an advisory relationship depends on more than expertise. It depends on how mandates are accepted,

information is controlled, conflicts are addressed and accountability is maintained.

Selective client

acceptance

We accept mandates where

the objective is legitimate,

the authority to act is

identifiable and our

involvement can create

meaningful value.

Conflicts &

independence

Potential conflicts should

be identified before

engagement and managed

in a manner that protects

the integrity of

the advice

Confidentiality &

information control

Sensitive commercial,

personal and institutional

information is handled

according to the

requirements of the

mandate and the obligation

agreed with the client.

Named mandate

accountability

Every engagement

should have a clearly

identified client decision

owner and a clearly

identified E. Cartier & Co

lead.

Evidence &

Claims

Recommendations, public

statements and measures

of success should be

grounded in evidence

and capable of being

defended.

Quality &

escalation

Material risks, unresolved

assumptions and execution

barriers should be made

visible rather than

concealed within the

delivery process.

These standards are embedded in our internal policies and engagement agreements.

BUILT FOR THE LONG TERM

We are building an institution, not merely assembling engagements.

E. Cartier & Co is being developed around enduring client relationships, proprietary intellectual capital,

exceptional senior talent and disciplined international reach.

Enduring

Relationships

We aim to become a trusted source

of judgement across successive

decisions, rather than a provider

used for one isolated workstream.

Proprietary intellectual capital

Our methods,. research, decision

frameworks and mandate tools

are designed to accumulate

knowledge and improve the

quality of future work.

Exceptional senior talent

The firm will grow selectively,

prioritising judgement, operating

experience and professional

character over headcount.

A PRIVATE DISCUSSION

The right advisory relationship

begins with the quality of the conversation.

A confidential conversation to understand the objective, determine what is

constraining progress and assess whether E. Cartier & Co is the right fit

for the mandate.

CONFIDENTIAL . SELECTIVE . WITHOUT OBLIGATION
